Pilgrims when they entered in the sacred state of Ihram are completely prohibited from doing few things like covering their heads (only for men), arguing, hunting, cutting their nails or hair, even killing mosquitoes, flies and lice and also use of perfume. A woman can wear any usual clothing as Ihram as long as it does not show off her body or any adornments, or cause attraction to male. Women are forbidden to wear hand gloves or to cover her face naqaab or veil.
At the Airport of Jeddah
When a person land at Jeddah airport, he or she than go through some custom's formalities and official procedure, then pilgrim moves in waiting area until your Umrah guide boarded you in the buses that headed for city Makkah. Here you have to be tolerant you may have to wait for a long delay because the relevant authorities have to make arrangement for a large number of pilgrims. .
Way towards Makkah
When moving towards city Makkah, that is approx 72 kilometres away, a pilgrim should be in the sacred state of Ihram and continue proclaiming Talbiyah as many times as he or she can. When city Makkah is approx 23 km far, there is a huge overhead sign in which it is written that "Makkah------Muslims Only". From here the limit of Makkah start and from this boundary non-Muslims are strictly not allowed to enter or go beyond this point. .
Influx in sacred city Makkah
When a pilgrim enter in the sacred city Makkah, he or she keeps reciting Talbiyah with hearty fondness and enthusiasm. After that you will reach at your hotel, keep in mind you are with many other pilgrims so be humble and calm with all. .
Shopping and Hotel Accommodation
It is suitable to purchase take out food items that are available at very affordable prices, and try to spend most of your time for praying in the House of ALLAH,
Holy Kaaba. If you purchase a dish of vegetables or meat, generally free breads are given with this and all this is enough for 2 persons. All the needs and requirements of life and Umrah and Hajj items, such as Haji bottle, prayer mats, belts, slippers, everything are available. .
Masjid ul-Haram (Grand Moasque) and the Holy Kaaba
Now move towards Masjid ul-Haram, that encloses the Holy Kaabah, The House of ALLAH Almighty, to perform namaz (prayers) if it is a time for namaz. Here, there is completely separate arrangement for female and male to make Wuzu (ablutions).
Al-Masjid Ul-Haram is the Grand Mosque that is also well-known as Al-Haram Majid, Haram ul-Shareef, Masjid ul-Shareef and the Haram Shareef in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, is the holiest and sacred masjid in the whole world and also the major destination for the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage. .
One of the Five basic Pillars of Islam that is obligatory for all Muslims that needs each and every Muslim to perform the pilgrimage Hajj towards the sacred city Makkah at least once in his or her life span if a person is financially and physically capable to do so. There are multiple parts of performing the Hajj includes pilgrims to circle seven times (tawaaf or circumambulation) around the Holy Kaaba in a direction of counter-clockwise. This circumambulation (Tawaaf), is also done by pilgrims during Umrah. .

Following are the some rites and rituals which are very important if you want to know regarding how to perform Umrah.
Wearing Ihram:
A pilgrim who is willing to perform Umrah must wear Ihram as this the most important to wear. Ihram should be worn at the station of meeqat or you can also wear this when leaving home or at airport, but keep this in your mind that pilgrims are not allowed entering through meeqat without wearing Ihram. There are five station of meeqat where a person can wear Ihram. Foe men Ihram is consist of 2 piece of clothes preferably of white colour because majority of pilgrims carry the same coloured Ihram and for women their normal clothing are there Ihram but there dress should be in loosing so that their not any part will be visible or prominent for women it is preferable to take burqa that will cover their whole body and women should also cover their hairs by doing hijab, whereas covering face and hands are prohibited for her. A pilgrim must perform nafil namaz for the niyyat of Umrah.
Tawaf or Circumambulation of Holy Kaaba:
Second obligatory act that a pilgrim should have to do in order to perform Umrah is Tawaaf; Tawaaf in actual is a circumambulation of the house of ALLAH Almighty seven times and tawaf must be performed in an anti clock direction, starting from Hajr-e-Aswad (The black Stone). After tawaaf go to well of zamzam and drink blessed water of zamzam.
A perform should offer two Rakats namaz behind Maqam of Ibraheem (station of Ibraheem).
How to Perform Saaee:
Saaee is an also obligatory act of Umrah, saaee is running between the hills of safa and Marwah seven times and the actual meaning of saaee is to walk or run back and forth between two small hills. Pilgrim walks or runs between "Safa" to "Marwah" and from "Marwah" to "Safa" until prescribed seven rounds are completed (going from safa to marwah will count as one round and from marwah to safa second round and so on.
Halq or Taqseer:
Another most important obligatory act of Umrah is Halq and Taqseer, which means cutting the hair of the head, men are advised to completely shave their head hairs whereas, women should cut or trim about an inch of their hairs from bottom.
